The Grand Daddy’s big talking point is its unique ‘penthouse’ trailer park, where a collection of seven original vintage Airstream caravans nestle beneath the backdrop of the majestic Table Mountain. Artists, designers and cleverly creative people were given the task of transforming these iconic collectibles into themed rooms. Guests can now enjoy an exciting camping experience in the middle of Africa’s coolest city.

Airstream Trailer Caravan More trailer flash than trailer trash, seven imported vintage Airstream Trailers were handed over to local artists and designers for an imaginative makeover. The result is a collection of rooftop suites that plays with the imagination and the senses.
The Ballade of John & Yoko is a tribute to peace, love and total relaxation; Moontides is a dreamy, ethereal world below the sea; while Pleasantville is a real trip into the sixties. Goldilocks and the Three Bears is a continuation of the fairy tale; Love of Lace is romantic and sensual; Dorothy is a dove-blue fantasy world; and Afrofunk’d is inspired by the African skyline and iconic mountain just outside the door.
The air-conditioned Airstreams all boast custom-made beds with cotton linen and landscaped gardens to enhance the guests’ privacy.

Each enclosed by a tidy garden complete with mailboxes, The Pink Flamingo outdoor Cinema is perfect for evening entertainment under the stars.
All the Airstreams are air-conditioned, incredibly well-insulated, have hot and cold running water, flushing toilets and showers, and all 4 star services offered by the hotel.
The communal areas include a comfy tented sky bar with generous couches and heaters. The trailers are connected by a series of timber walkways and indigenous gardens.

Dining
The Cafe is the Grand Daddy’s friendly food centre. Offering more than your average selection of breakfasts, it’s also a good stop for buffet lunches and sandwiches and a selection of dinner dishes for those nights when you don’t feel like venturing far. In fact, you don’t have to venture at all – The Cafe’s menu is fully available on room service.
Daddy Cool - Inspired by the love of all things bling, the Grand Daddy’s hotel bar is a white and gold play space where you can sip on fine wines, gorgeous cocktails, happy-go-lucky bubbly and a good old fashioned selection of spirits. Open each evening (except for Sundays) Daddy Cool kicks back with good sounds and live performances throughout the week.
