“Baia di Trentova” is a new family-run farmhouse. It is situated on a hill, in Agropoli, within the Cilento National Park, very near the well-known bay of Trentova, which was awarded the European Blue Flag on several occasions. Experience the hospitality, cordiality and typical welcoming nature of this area of Italy throughout the year in one of our 5 comfortable rooms. Arranged on two levels, this accommodation structure can house up to 14 guests: on the ground floor there is the dining room, the kitchen and a room for the disabled, on the upper floor there are four other rooms. Oreste, Maria and Domenico personally deal with welcoming their guests with the utmost of care and courtesy, ensuring that their stay is a pleasant as possible. The warm family atmosphere, the small number of guests, the peacefulness of the country setting, combined with the intense scents of the sea and the countryside make Baia di trentova the ideal location in which to spend your holidays throughout the year.
Rooms
Our 5 rooms (Vallone, Sauco, Trentova, S. Francesco, Fortino), each of which bears the name of one of the beaches of Cilento’s beautiful, unspoiled coastline, are equipped with: independent access, a modern bathroom with shower, independently controlled air conditioning to ensure an optimal temperature, colour TV, mini-bar, hair-dryer and panoramic terrace with a sea view. One of the rooms also has a bathroom suitable for use by the disabled.
Dining
The kitchen is strictly family run and abides by the rules of the ancient recipes of Cilento and Campania. The ingredients used are always fresh and purchased from local producers. The dining room is reserved for hotel guests only. The menu is decided upon the day before and always guarantees fresh dishes cooked just prior to being served.
A few examples: - Lagane pasta with chickpeas - Scialatielli pasta with a seafood sauce - Paccari pasta with buffalo-milk ricotta cheese and pumpkin flowers. - Pasta with potatoes - Pasta and beans with mussels - Paccari pasta with grouper - Fried seafood - Seafood stew - P.D.O. Buffalo mozzarella - Baked aubergines with tomatoes and cheese - Selection of mixed grilled meat - Pork with traditional pupaccelle (variety of chilli). - Stuffed pumpkin flowers - Rolled and stuffed aubergines - Grilled vegetables - Sweet fig morsels from Cilento. - “Pastiera napoletana” (Typical Neapolitan tart made with a sweet filling of cottage cheese). - “Baba” (typical sponge cake steeped in rum syrup) - Ricotta cheese and pear tart.
