The Charles Hotel is part of the Royal Road which starts in Norimberk, Germany and goes all the way to the Prague Castle through the Powder Tower, Wenceslas Square and across the Charles Bridge.
First mentioned in 1408, the two separate buildings where The Hotel Charles stands today were joined together during the reconstruction in 1685, and the rebuilt house kept the name „At the Golden Eagle."
