Location
At the foot of the Amboise Castle ramparts, overlooking the Loire, the hotel boasts an idyllic setting. The Clos Lucé is also just a stone’s throw away this was the final residence of Leonard de Vinci and contains a collection of some of his inventions.
The hotel is a gracious collection of private residences built in the 16th and 18th Centuries, between the Loire and the terraced gardens bordered by troglodyte caves.

“Le Choiseul” gourmet restaurant – In this beautiful light, airy room with freestone walls, adorned with wood panelling, guests will delight in discovering the sophisticated, welcoming atmosphere suitable to a Duke's home. The large fireplace gives the room a certain grandeur, the magnificent view over the Loire being its key asset. If the cuisine at the Choiseul draws its inspiration from the tradition of the Loire Valley and its outstanding produce, it leaves plenty of room for creativity. The bistrot 36 is the ideal meeting place for the new gourmets who enjoy tasting delicious cuisine with touches of the unusual in a setting bathed in light with a view over the Italian style gardens. The freshly coloured decor and the delicate cane armchairs create the pleasant atmosphere of a pergola. In summer, guests can enjoy meals outside on the terrace which borders the Italian style gardens where they can admire the sculptures on display. Continental breakfast is included and served from 07:15 – 10:30am.
