Helka hotel is a traditional hotel in the centre of Helsinki, well-managed and offering a unique combination of Nordic design, Finnish culture and hospitality together with a cosy atmosphere. The building of the hotel dates back to 1928 and represents an example of Finnish architecture. All rooms of the hotel as well as its insides and outsides have been completely renovated in 2006 to offer its guests even more comfort.
Finnish design and nature can be found everywhere at the hotel - in furnishing, service and music in its restaurant and bar. The owners of the hotel do everything to offer their guests a unique experience which would differ from staying at european-class hotel of a hotel chain. Hotel Helka offers memorable experience of traditional accommodation right in the centre of the city, within walking distance from all main sights, railway station and shopping malls.
Rooms
Hotel Helka offers to stay in one of 150 stylish modern rooms with all facilities you might require when stay away from home. There are rooms of three main categories - single, twin rooms and suites.
Single room offer such amenities as a wide bed, WC and shower, towels, linen, shampoo and soap, satellite TV and pay-TV, phone, minibar, air conditioning, free of charge modem / data port connection, hairdryer
Twin room have two separate beds, 90 cm each and all amenities offered in a single standard room.
Suites have the following amenities in addition to standard rooms: living room, bedroom, traditional Finnish sauna or steam bath. There are two separate beds 90 cm each in the rooms of this type.
Dining
Restaurant HELKAN KEITTIÖ is an elegant restaurant with cozy atmosphere perfectly suitable to relax and enjoy. The á la carte menu offers a wide choice of dishes based on traditional Finnish ingredients. Besides, there is a free wi fi Internet access at the restaurant.
Breakfast is served daily at this restaurant, from 6.30 to 10.00 am Mon-Fri, and 7.30 - 10.30am on weekends.
Helkan Baari is an elegant stylish lobby bar which offers a great variety of beverages, from Finnish specialities to classics. Those who smoke can stay in a stylishly designed fresh cigar room. This bar also has wi fi Internet access.
Conference & Meeting Rooms
There are two conference rooms at the hotel. One is suitable for a meeting for 30 participants while the other can fit up to 70 people. Both rooms are fully equipped with all modern facilities for a comfortable meeting.
