Ta' Cenc, an island in an island for those who are looking for that special holiday of complete tranquility and relaxation. Built on Calypso Island's highest point, overlooking majestic cliffs and affording a magnificent view across to the islands of Malta and Comino, Hotel Ta' Cenc has all the characteristics that guests are looking for and that strike their sensitivity. One hundred and sixty hectares of land, solely for walks, mediation and peace of mind. Accommodation is in charming little stone bungalows or 'trulli' scattered throughout the fragrant garden of flowers and shrubs. All 83 rooms are tastefully furnished, complete with bathrooms, and come well equipped All the rooms have a terrace or a small private garden. Upon waking up, the guests can enjoy breakfast through room service or in the restaurant, where an incredible special choice of buffet is served. For lunch and dinner, "Il- Carrubo" restaurant offers Italian cuisine as its speciality, along with Gozitan and other superb international dishes, giving the possibility to choose from an "a la carte" or a daily set menu. A scenic terraced snack bar, "Peppi's Bar", enjoying a superb view of the archipelago offers guests the possibility to partake from the variety of fresh fish and grilled meats, salads, ice creams and fresh fruit. Guests can relax during the day around the two enchanting swimming pools, one of which includes a mini pool for children and a Jacuzzi, whilst the second one is quieter and more for 'adults only'. The private beach, known for hundreds of years as "Kantra", because of its savage beauty and its limpid clear waters, is located in the rocky fjord inlet of Mgarr ix-Xini. It provides a bar and grill restaurant, rich with fresh fish and meat, sunbeds, parasols, and shower/toilet facilities. A minibus service, which takes guests directly to the beach in five minutes, is free of charge. Kantra Beach is open is high season only. The wellness centre consists of a heated indoor/outdoor pool, indoor Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, tanning room, treatment rooms, massage parlour, beauty salon and a fully equipped gym.
