The Golden Star is a stylish four-star hotel located right in the historical centre of Prague, only a few steps from the main entrance to the Prague Castle.
The hotel occupies a historical house in the picturesque area of the Lesser Town overlooking the Royal Road.
First mentioned in 1372, the building was owned by the Mayor of Hradcany. In early 18th century the house underwent a thorough and costly reconstruction that shaped its present aspect. After a complete reconstruction, the Golden Star opened its ancient gate in May 2000 as a hotel.
Golden Star offers full luxury of modern comfort at the same time carefully preserving the original architectural elements. The original 18th century staircase, ornamental plaster ceilings and period wooden furniture accentuate the historical atmosphere of the house. Parquet floors treated with ecologically safe lacquer.

The Golden Star Hotel offers 23 rooms, double, twin and suites. Most bedrooms have been nicely refurbished to the highest world class standards, providing a graceful, yet homely ambience.
