Built in an industrial classic style, the four star Radisson SAS Hotel in Silkeborg is housed in an historic building in the area where this harbour city was founded. It all began in 1846 when a paper factory was established in Silkeborg and today our hotel is surrounded by large forests and beautiful lakes, offering our visitors a unique harmony of countryside and water.

The Radisson SAS Hotel in Silkeborg invites you to discover Silkeborg, Denmark's holiday paradise that offers a variety of leisure acitivities, such as canoeing, fishing or sailing on the world’s oldest coal burning paddle steamer, “The Hjejlen”. In addition, Silkeborg has a cultural history reflected through Silkeborg Museum, which features the 2400 years old body of the “Tollund Man”. The hotel is just 60 kilometres from the Billund Airport and 40 kilometres from the airport in Karup.
Silkeborg is located in Central Jutland, only 4o kilometres west from Aarhus, by Denmark’s largest lake district, on the bank of the Gudena River and surrounded by forests and beautiful lakes.
The Silkeborg Art Museum houses the works of one of the most famous artists of the 20th century, Asger Jorn, and his collections of unique cobra art. Moreover, the world-famous Galerie Moderne is one of the largest art galleries in the Nordic countries. Silkeborg is also famous for its numerous music festivals such as Riverboat Jazz Festival and Country Festival.
You will also find one of the most beautiful Danish golf courses in Silkeborg, and the best Danish player, Thomas Bjorn, broke his golfing shoes here. In addition, another five golf courses are within 40 kilometres from the hotel.
