Places Around Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower, or Tour Eiffel, was built in 19th
century as an entrance arch for the World’s Fair 1889 by Gustave Eiffel, and was named after him. The height of the tower is similar to the 81-storey building, and not surprisingly in was the tallest building in the world when it was built.
There are three levels for visitors: the first level is over 300 steps high, second level is the other 300 steps high – two first levels can be walked, while to access the third you’ll need to use a lift. It’s most convenient that there are cosy restaurants on the first and second levels.
